In the second quarter of 2024, the leading social networking applications in Peru demonstrated diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

WhatsApp Messenger saw a notable fluctuation in downloads, beginning the quarter with 173K and peaking at approximately 210K in the week of April 22. By the end of June, downloads settled at 162K. Weekly active users remained stable, starting at around 20.5M and ending the quarter with 20.6M.

Facebook experienced a steady download rate, with a slight increase from 186K at the start of April to 192K in mid-June, but saw a dip to 168K by the end of the quarter. Revenue peaked mid-April at $27K and gradually decreased to $15K by the end of June. Weekly active users showed a general upward trend, from 17.8M to 18.1M.

Google Meet had lower download numbers compared to other apps, starting at 15.7K and fluctuating throughout the quarter, closing at 18.1K. Weekly active users hovered around 750K to 815K, showing slight variations but maintaining a consistent user base.

Messenger downloads began at 120K, dropping to 82K in mid-April, with a minor recovery to 99K by the end of June. Revenue was minimal, peaking at $58 in mid-May. The app's weekly active users remained stable, starting at 6M and ending at 6.1M.

Telegram Messenger started the quarter with 79K downloads, peaking at 101K by mid-April, and closing at 75K in late June. Revenue showed an upward trend, reaching $2.8K by the end of June. Weekly active users saw a steady increase from 816K to 854K.
